Obituary: Margaret D’Amico Incerto, 88, Of Norwalk

Margaret was raised in Westport and worked for several years as an executive secretary for Distribution Marketing in Darien.

Margaret D’Amico Incerto, age 88 of Norwalk, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was the loving wife for 64 years of the late Anthony ”Swing” Incerto, Sr.

Margaret was born on April 22, 1933, the daughter of the late Anthony R. and Maria (Caruso) D’Amico. She was raised in Westport, graduated from Staples High School and worked for several years as an executive secretary for Distribution Marketing in Darien.

Margaret was a great mom and homemaker. Her life was all about Faith, Family, Friends and Food. She loved God, cooking, sewing, decorating, writing poetry, painting and she especially loved to dance and spend time with her family.

Margaret is survived by her children and spouses Mark and Emily Incerto and their children John, Kate and Drew, Laura Incerto, Jennifer and Stephen Iannone and their children Stephanie and Danielle, Anthony Incerto Jr., his wife Bernadette and children Grace and AJ, Paul and Helen Incerto and their children James Whipple, Megan Barton and Tara Sarrazien. Also surviving are Margaret’s siblings Peter D’Amico (Irene), Anthony D’Amico, Ester D’Amico, Josephine D’Amico, Geraldine Stauss (Jack), Mary Aldrich (Mike), 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson Robert Sarrazien, brothers and sisters-in-law Edward and Dolly D’Amico, Rudy and Marge D’Amico, and Adeline and Leonard Coviello.

Margaret’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Sunday, November 21, from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 22, 11 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk. Burial will be held at a later date.
