Obituary: Marie Nordone Hennessey, 91, Of Norwalk
Marie was the loving caretaker of her family and will always be remembered for the love and joy she put into cooking for her family.

It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Nordone Hennessey announces her passing after a brief illness on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the age of 91 years.
Marie will lovingly be remembered by her five children; Bob and Mari Hennessey of Longmeadow, MA, Colleen and Jim Kochman of Cambridge, MA, Tim and Janet Hennessey of Wallingford, CT, Terry Hennessey and Tracy Parsons of Ridgefield, CT and Kathleen Hennessey of San Francisco, CA.

Marie will be forever remembered by her adored 9 grandchildren; Ross (Kat) and Kate Kockman, Caitlin and Lauren Hennessey, Connor and Ryan Hennessey, Ceci Hennessey and Spencer and Kelsey Parsons and her great granddaughter Naya Kockman. Marie was predeceased by her loving husband Bob Hennessey Jr. to whom she was married for 54 years.
Marie grew up in Mamaroneck, New York, but spent the majority of her life in Norwalk. She graduated from Norwalk HS in 1933.

Marie was the loving caretaker of her family. She will always be remembered for the love and joy she put into cooking for her family. Her apple pie and meatballs were especially renowned and passed down to her extended family.
Marie also enjoyed working as a medical receptionist in Norwalk and spending summers in Mashpee, MA and winters in Clearwater, FL.
A celebration of Marie’s life will be held on Sunday, August 5 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a prayer service at 2:30 p.m., at the Magner Funeral Home, (12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk). Memorial donations in memory of Marie can be made to the Elizabeth Everts de Rham Home, 65 Chilton Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.
