Obituary: Mario Michael Galasso, 82, Of Norwalk

Mario Michael Galasso, 82, beloved husband of Barbara (Wolf) Galasso, died on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at his home in Norwalk. Born in Port Chester, NY, son of the late John and Nina (Caprara) Galasso, he was also predeceased by his brothers Louis and John Galasso.

Mario was an avid outdoorsman and co-owner of State Line Tire Company with his brother, Louis.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by their children, Jay Galasso and his wife Linda of Franklin, MA, and Mario Jr., and his wife Heather, grandchildren; Patrick (Hannah) Galasso, Becky Galasso, Geoffrey Galasso, Jenna Galasso, Julia Robillard and Danielle Robillard, and two sisters, Francine (Joseph) Bria and Gina (Steven) Hurd, and nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 26, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk.
