Obituary : Mark R. Suda Sr.

Mark loved coaching his sons in Cranbury League and Babe Ruth baseball and NAA Pop Warner Football.

Mark R. Suda Sr. age 69 of Norwalk died peaceful at Norwalk Hospital on April 21, 2020. He was the loving husband of 49 years to Patricia “Patti” Rogers Suda. Mark was born in Westport on Nov. 18, 1950, son of the late Frank and Ethel “Etta” Suda. He was raised in Westport and was a graduate of Staples High School in 1969. In his early life he was a mechanic and worked at his father’s and grandfather’s business Turnpike Pontiac. He loved cars and car racing at Dover Drag Strip. After Turnpike closed he went to work at Norwest Marine he was there Service Manger for 33 years. Mark loved coaching his sons in Cranbury League and Babe Ruth baseball and NAA Pop Warner Football. In addition to his wife Patti, he is survived by two sons Mark R. Suda Jr. and his wife Michelle and Joseph R Suda Sr. and his wife Amy, his precious grandchildren Skyler, Madyson, Samantha & Joseph jr. His sisters Carol (Dennis) Bok and Sherry (Joe) Salvati, brothers-in-law Bill, Paul, John (Debbie) Rogers and sister-in-law Janet (David) Aitoro, alone with many nieces & nephews.
A memorial celebration will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 4:oo till 7:00 pm in the Hoyt-Cognetta / Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk. Interment will take place Monday July 27, 2020 at 10:30 am in Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main St. Westport. In lieu of flowers constitutions can be made to Michael J Fox Foundation or to Norwalk Hospital ( Covid-19) fund. Please visit www.norwalkfh.com to leave an online condolence for the family.
