Obituary: Maurice J. Midi, 91, Of Norwalk

Maurice J. Midi, age 91 of Norwalk, died at the Norwalk Hospital on Thursday, April 4, 2019. He was the loving husband of Marie Josee Bourssiquot Midi.

Born in Meyer, Haiti on April 1, 1928, he was the son of the late Leosthene Midi and Fevilia Paraizy Midi. Maurice worked for several years at Stamford Hospital.

In addition to his wife, survivors include children Kevin Midi, Michael D’Haiti, Pierre D’Haiti, Ralph D’Haiti and Martine D’Haiti Bristhole, siblings Dr. Jean Albert Midy, Lucile Midy Boursiquot and Pauline Midy, step-grandchildren David, Abby, Olivia, Bryan, Brianna, Aaron and Daniel D’Haiti, Widnard, Markwind and Jolia Bristhole and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sisters Lea, Ertha, Charlot and Bernadette Midi.

Maurice’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Friday, April 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 13, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church (85 S. Main Street in Norwalk), with interment held privately by his family.
