Richard House Weisheit, 94 of Norwalk, beloved husband of Joan Lelle Weisheit for 64 years, died on March 1, 2023 at Norwalk Hospital.
Born in Norwalk on July 4, 1928, he was the son of the late Norman and Sarah Wells Weisheit. He was also predeceased by his son James Weisheit. A graduate of Norwalk HS, he attended West Point and earned his Civil Engineer degree from Columbia University.

He was Chief Engineer for Norwalk Public Works, and also an Elder at Trinity Lutheran Church.
In addition to his wife Joan, he is survived by their sons William Weisheit and Kenneth Weisheit and his wife Petra and Grandsons Brian and Erik Weisheit of Stadtbergen, Germany, as well as his brother Robert Weisheit of Dallas, TX.
