Obituary : Victor Ayala Jr.

Victor was an avid sports fan rooting for his beloved NY Mets and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

Victor Ayala Jr. passed away on November 14, 2021, at the age of 50. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family and friends with an abundance of love. Victor Ayala Jr., son of Victor Ayala and Elena Figueroa was born February 25, 1971, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. He attended the public schools in San Lorenzo. He worked at Oak Ridges for two Years.
Victor professed his faith in Jesus Christ and dedicated his life to Christ through serving and ministering to others at an early age. Victor was a dedicated member of Broad River Church (and had served faithfully as an Usher of the Church.
Victor was an avid sports fan rooting for his beloved NY Mets and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Victor had a natural ability to make strangers feel comfortable in his presents.
Victor had a passion for serving his community. He was active in several community organizations during the 15 years he lived in Stratford Ct. Victor ran for the third district Town Council. He was appointed as Justice of the peace and was heavily involved in coordinating the first Puerto Rican Day Parade in Norwalk.
Victor will be remembered for his unrelenting optimism, outgoing personality, galvanizing and infectious smile, and compassionate heart.
Victor is survived by his spouse Joann Santiago, his children, Victor "Joel" Ayala, Jessy Cuevas (Lilliana), and Joanngelly Cuevas, his mother, Elena Figueroa, his father, Victor Ayala, his grandmother, Antonia "Tona" DeJesus, his sisters, Aracelis Ayala (Radames Figueroa) and Carmen Ayala (Neftali Nieves), and his grandchild, Ja'Sani Banton.

Friends may greet the family on Monday 11/22/2021 from 4 - 8 pm in the Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk. Funeral service will take place at 11 am on Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
