Over 1,000 Free Books Find New Homes at Community Book Fair in Norwalk
Families, educators, and volunteers came together to expand access to books and celebrate a love of reading.
Families, educators, and young readers gathered at Art Monster Studio on Thursday, July 23, for a FREE Children's Book Fair hosted by Bright Future Books in partnership with Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities and Art Monster Studio. The event brought the community together with a shared goal of expanding access to books and inspiring a lifelong love of reading.
Attendees browsed a wide selection of titles for a variety of ages, reading levels, and interests. Behind the scenes, summer interns Michael Bria and Josephine Campos helped curate the book displays, creating a warm and welcoming experience for families as they explored the event.
"Watching children leave excited about the books they had chosen was a powerful reminder of the impact of community partnerships and the importance of ensuring every child has access to books," said Elena Case, Program and Events Manager at Smart Kids.

The impact of the event extended beyond those who attended. Hundreds of additional books were donated to Art Monster Studio and Second Chance Volunteers, ensuring that even more books will find new homes with local children and families.
