Over 180 Grams Of Marijuana Seized From Norwalk Vape Shop: Police

Police said the investigation was the result of numerous complaints regarding the sale of marijuana without a proper license.

NORWALK, CT — Over 180 grams of marijuana and other items were seized from a Norwalk vape shop Wednesday, according to police.

In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said members of the department's Special Services Division executed a search and seizure warrant at Vapesmart on Liberty Square with assistance from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Drug Control Division.

According to Podgorski, the investigation was the result of a number of complaints received about the sale of marijuana without a proper license and the sale of vape products to minors.

As a result of the investigation, officers seized 187.25 grams of marijuana packaged in pouches and film canisters for resale, several hundred products containing greater levels than the legal limit of THC and approximately $900 cash from the shop, Podgorski said.

Additionally, a 30-year-old Norwalk man was arrested as a result of the investigation, according to Podgorski.
