The incident reportedly occurred on Jan. 16 on Academy Street.
NORWALK, CT — Two juveniles were arrested on warrants by Norwalk police this week in connection with an attempted robbery on Jan. 16 on Academy Street, according to authorities.
No injuries were reported in the incident, but because they are minors, no information was released on the identities of the two suspects.
According to police, the two suspects jumped the victim, who was walking on Academy Street at the time.

"During this incident one of the juveniles grabbed the victim from behind and attempted to steal items while the other juvenile displayed a handgun," said police. "The victim, who was not injured, was able to fight them off and leave the area. The Special Victims Unit assumed the investigation and Detective English conducted interviews and obtained statements that ultimately led to the arrest of both juveniles."
Both were arrested on Feb. 5, and the handgun displayed in the attack, which turned out to be what police called "a facsimile firearm," was recovered by the department during a separate, undisclosed incident involving the two juveniles on the evening of Jan. 17.
