Parking Enforcement Begins At Norwalk Beaches, Some Parks

As beach season kicks off this week, the city will start enforcing parking requirements and reminds residents to verify their vehicles.

NORWALK, CT — The city will start enforcing parking requirements at its beaches and highly frequented parks this week as beach season officially kicks off Monday in Norwalk.

According to a news release provided by the city, parking enforcement will take place at a number of places in Norwalk, including Calf Pasture Beach, Shady Beach, Cranbury Park, Taylor Farm Park and Veterans Park.

Each year, Norwalk residents must verify their license plate number in the city's system to guarantee they can park for free at the city's beaches and most popular parks from May 15 to Oct. 15 to ensure residents are given parking priority during peak visitation months, according to the city.
