PD: Norwalk Man on Mission to Buy Lotto Tickets Arrested

The man intended to buy scratch-offs after hours and refused to leave a gas station until he got them, police said.

A Norwalk man on a mission to buy lottery scratch-off tickets after hours was arrested by police after he refused to leave a gas station.

Police were dispatched to the Shell Station on West Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Norwalk Hour. A clerk said the man refused to leave until he could buy the tickets.

Drawing times end around 10:20 p.m. and lotto retailers have discretion about when they can stop selling them.

Brandon Dupee, 32, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
