PD: Pit Bull Mauled Two Dogs in Norwalk

The 90-pound dog grabbed the two smaller dogs in its mouth and thrashed them around. Vet bills are estimated in excess of $7,000.

NORWALK, CT- A 90-pound pit bull was impounded by police after it reportedly attacked two smaller dogs.

The owner of two Cocker Spaniels was walking the dogs on Crown Avenue Tuesday when the unattended and unleashed pit bull jumped out and began attacking the two significantly smaller dogs, according to the Norwalk Hour.

The pit bull grabbed the dogs in its mouth, shook them and threw them to the ground, police said.

Veterinary bills for the two dogs is estimated to be more than $7,000. The owner sustained a minor injury when she fell during the incident.
