Victim Identified After Norwalk Jump Report: PD
Police and other emergency crews searched the water near the Yankee Doodle Bridge after a report of someone jumping into the water.

NORWALK, CT — Police have recovered the body of a Bridgeport man who reportedly jumped off the Yankee Doodle Bridge over the Norwalk River on I-95. State Police have identified the victim as Evol Genias, 58.
Police and other emergency responders went to the scene shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday night to investigate the report. Rescue crews from Westport, Norwalk and the Coast Guard searched the waters during the night, but were unsuccessful.
State Police divers located the victim's body around 7 a.m. Nov. 2. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine the cause and manner of death. There doesn't appear to be any criminal aspect to the incident.
