Plans For Apartment Building In East Norwalk Withdrawn: Report
The developer reportedly pulled the plug on the proposed Van Zant Street project.
NORWALK, CT — A plan to build a 13-unit apartment building next to the East Norwalk Library has been withdrawn, after the proposed development was met with opposition, reported The Hour.
The proposal for 49 Van Zant St. was scrapped after concerns were raised by residents, city officials, and in a peer review by engineering consultants that the planned development was too dense for the site.
Additionally, critics said it did not provide enough parking, and some found the building's aesthetics lacking.
