Police Arrest 2, Seize Over 2 Pounds Of Marijuana In Norwalk: PD

Police said the arrests were made after officers executed search warrants in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — Police said officers seized over two pounds of marijuana, 40 cannabis vape pens and more after executing search warrants at a Chapel Street residence Tuesday. The warrants stemmed from an investigation into the alleged marijuana sales of 23-year-old Benjamin Morales of Norwalk, police said.

According to a news release, officers located and seized over two pounds of marijuana and 40 cannabis vape pens from both the residence and a vehicle used by the accused. Officers also located 165 grams of marijuana under a pillow, which Jean Benoit, 22, of Norwalk was sleeping on, police said.

Police said Morales was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500-feet of a daycare, possession of a controlled substance, operating a drug factory and possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500-feet of a daycare.

Police said Benoit was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500-feet of a daycare and possession of a controlled substance.
