Police Nab Norwalk Man on Weapons and Driving Charges
Police responded to a 911 call about a vehicle being driven erratically, and found more than they expected.

NORWALK, CT — Wilton police arrested a Norwalk man for driving erratically and then discovered a weapon in his car, according to a police report.
Police responded to a 911 call on Monday around 5:30 p.m. from a resident reporting a vehicle being driven erratically northbound on Danbury Road in the area of Honey Hill Road in Wilton. When officers arrived on the scene, they stopped the car, a Lincoln SUV being driven by Craig Fordon, 47, of Rome Street in Norwalk.
Upon investigation of the SUV's interior, police found a loaded 4.5mm BB gun resembling a 9mm Walther pistol, along with hollow point pellets, on the passenger side floor within reach of the driver.

The police report made note that Fordon had a prior arrest for threatening a pizza delivery driver with a BB gun in New York in 2017.
Fordon was transported to Wilton PD headquarters where he was charged with failing to drive in an established lane and carrying a weapon in a motor vehicle. He was held on a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court the next day.
