Police: Norwalk Man Arrested After Sending Sexts to 13-Yr-Old Girl

A Norwalk resident who works as a swim coach in Bridgeport was arrested after he allegedly sent sexual messages to a 13-year-old girl on the team.

Police investigated and determined that Alan Marcel, 28, sent text messages with sexual content to the girl, said Bill Kaempffer, Bridgeport public safety spokesman.

The text messages were discovered by the girl’s mother, who alerted a member of the swim club board of directors.

Police reviewed and observed texts from Marcel to the victim that were explicitly sexual, Kaempffer said.

Marcel was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a minor and enticing a minor. He was held in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
