NORWALK, CT — Police are asking for the public's help identifying two women accused of robbing a Norwalk liquor store Wednesday night.

In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said the incident was reported at Al's Warehouse Liquor Store on Connecticut Avenue around 7:30 p.m. by an employee who said she had been robbed by two women.

The employee said one of the women assaulted her as she tried to confront the woman for stealing a bottle of liquor, according to Podgorski. The employee declined medical treatment.

One of the women was wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white sneakers. The other woman was wearing black pants and a black shirt, Podgorski said.
