Police Seek Identity Of Suspected Phone Thief: Norwalk PD

Police said they are seeking the identity of man suspected of stealing a Norwalk gas station customer's phone.

NORWALK, CT — Police said they are seeking the identity of man suspected of stealing a Norwalk gas station customer's phone. Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.

The alleged incident occurred Feb. 25 at the Shell Gas Station on Westport Avenue after the victim forgot his phone on the front counter at the station, according to a release. After returning a short time later hoping to retrieve it, the victim discovered the phone had been taken, police said.

The suspect is described by police as having long black hair, brown eyes and a mustache. The suspect also wore an earring in his left ear and eyeglasses, according to police.

The suspect is approximately five feet and seven inches tall, and was wearing a red and white hooded zip-up jacket, black pants and red and white sneakers, police said.

Police said the suspect left the area in an older silver Acura with tinted windows and a sunroof. Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information about the incident is asked to contact Officer Avila at 203-854-3051.
