Police Seize 3 Firearms During Search Of Norwalk Residence: PD

Police said officers seized marijuana​, firearms and more after executing a search warrant in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — Police said officers seized marijuana, firearms and more after executing a search warrant at a Center Avenue apartment Thursday. The Norwalk Police Special Services Division and Emergency Services Unit Tactical Response Team executed the warrant, police said.

According to a press release, police said the warrant was obtained after a lengthy investigation into Tyler Singewald, 24, of Norwalk, who was allegedly selling narcotics from the residence.

According to police, Special Services Investigators seized marijuana, drug paraphernalia, $1,300, a loaded sawed-off shotgun, a loaded 9mm handgun and a loaded .38 caliber handgun, which was found to be stolen. Investigators also seized several rounds of ammunition, police said.

"Singewald, who is a convicted felon and is on supervised release from prior robbery convictions, was home at the time and was taken into custody without incident," Lieutenant Terrence Blakesaid in a release. "Stolen electronics were also recovered at the residence."

Police said the accused was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a pistol, two counts of criminal possession of a firearm and ammunition, theft of a firearm, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges for the allegedly stolen electronics are pending, police said.
