Private School Plans In Norwalk Rejected: Report
The Planning and Zoning Board voted 4-3 against the proposed project.
NORWALK, CT — The Planning and Zoning Board voted earlier this month to deny a proposal to open a prekindergarten through grade 12 private school at 32 Weed Ave., according to meeting minutes.
The proposal was made by Schoolhouse Academy Inc. and it was defeated by a 4-3 vote.
Hearst CT reported that the proposal would have led to a 20-classroom school at the site of a conference center. Traffic was cited as a major concern by some residents and members of the board, Hearst reported.
