Probe Finds Half-Dozen Out Of Town Students In Norwalk Schools: Report

The district is actively looking for students who might be obtaining an education illegally in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — A half-dozen students who do not currently live in Norwalk are enrolled in the city's schools, and three of them face possible expulsion this week, reports The Hour.

The students were discovered through an investigation designed to find enrollees from out of the city who are illegally obtaining an education in Norwalk. The families of the three students facing expulsion have to provide proper documentation of residency by March 24.

The families of the other three students are in temporary transitional housing outside of the district, but do not face expulsion until the end of the school year, if they do not provide proper documentation before then.
