Reports: Police Identify Woman Fatally Struck on Railroad Tracks in Norwalk

Metro-North police, according to news reports, have identified the woman fatally struck at 12:30 a.m., Monday by a Metro-North train passing through South Norwalk — Melissa Bochacchio of Meadow Street.

According to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, she died from blunt force trauma to various parts of her body, The Hour of Norwalk reports.

“Missy” Bochacchio was a pre-school teacher’s aide in Norwalk Public Schools and the mother of three children, according to her obituary.

The reason for her death has not been determined, a Metro-North spokeswoman told The Hour.
