Reports: Two Stabbed Wednesday Night in South Norwalk Fight

Two men were stabbed Wednesday night when black and Latino males fought not far from the southern end of the South Norwalk train station.

Responding to an 8:14 p.m. Wednesday report of a stabbing, Norwalk police went to a store at 23 Ely Ave. in South Norwalk to find one man, 40, bleeding from his head and another, 24, from his back after each was stabbed, according to reports in The Hour and WNTH-TV.

One witness told police that a fight had just occurred between a group of Latino males and black males on Mulvoy Street, the Hour report said. (23 Ely Ave., the location of Cocchia’s Liquor Store, is by the intersection of Ely Avenue and Mulvoy Street.) The men stabbed were Latino.

Each victim told police he was stabbed, by a group of males, according to the Hour. WNTH-TV reported that witnesses told police the men who committed the assault fled south on Ely Avenue.
