NORWALK, CT — A road is closed in Norwalk after a Metro-North train collided with a pickup truck late Wednesday morning, according to police.
A Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesperson said a southbound Danbury Branch train came into contact with the truck near Commerce Street around 11:30 a.m.
Edward McCabe, assistant chief of operations for the Norwalk Fire Department, said in a news release the New York-bound train collided with the truck at the level railroad crossing on Commerce Street and pushed several hundred feet, with both vehicles stopping in the Devine Bros. yard.
