Road Closures Announced For 2022 SoNo Half Marathon

Police have announced a number of road closures and detours scheduled to take place during the 2022 SoNo Half Marathon in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — Police have announced a number of road closures and detours scheduled to take place during the 2022 SoNo Half Marathon this weekend.

The race will be held Sunday morning in South Norwalk, during which Martin Luther King Drive will have one lane coned off for runners.

Drivers are asked to pay attention to signs and stay in their designated lane, police said.

  • Washington Street CLOSED (8:30AM - 10:30AM)
  • Ann St (CLOSED 8:30AM - 9:30AM)
  • N. Water St (CLOSED 8:30AM - 9:45 AM)
  • N. Main St (CLOSED 8:30AM - 9:30 AM)
  • S. Main St from Monroe to Washington (CLOSED 8:30AM - 10:30 AM)
  • Stroffolino Bridge CLOSED (CLOSED 8:30AM - 10:30 AM)
  • Marshall St (CLOSED 8:30AM - 9:30 AM)
  • Seaview Ave East Bound (CLOSED 8:30AM - 12:00 PM )
  • East Ave to Cemetery St (CLOSED 9:00AM - 12:00 PM)
  • East Ave from Cemetery to Seaview (CLOSED 9:00AM - 12:00 PM)
  • No west bound traffic on Fort Point past Van Zant St 8:30AM - 10:30 AM)
  • No north bound traffic on Flax Hill Rd past Taylor Av 9:00AM - 10:15 AM
  • No south bound traffic on Cove Ave 9:30 AM - 11:45 AM

Travelers are asked to review the course map and seek out alternate routes, police said.

Police also strongly advise anyone who lives, works on or is visiting any cross street of the above mentioned to give themselves extra time to arrive at their destination.
