Road Closures Announced For Norwalk 2022 Memorial Day Parade

The Norwalk Police Department has announced temporary road closures for the Memorial Day parade Monday.

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Police Department has announced temporary road closures for the Memorial Day parade Monday.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino said the parade will start at Veterans Park in East Norwalk and proceed east on Van Zant Street, then north on East Avenue and conclude at the Norwalk Green.

Van Zant Street, East Avenue (south of Route 1) and the northbound and southbound ramps of Exit 16 of Interstate 95 will be closed to all traffic from 10 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m., Gulino said.

"This closure will allow Norwalk's Memorial Day parade to proceed safely to the Norwalk Green," Gulino said in a news release.

Variable message signs located along I-95 and at the Exit 16 ramps will notify drivers of the exit's closure. All other I-95 exits in Norwalk will remain open during the parade, Gulino said.
