Road Closures Announced For Norwalk St. Patrick's Day Parade 2026

Police have announced a number of temporary road closures ahead of the city's annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Police Department has announced a number of temporary road closures ahead of the city's annual St. Patrick's Day parade this weekend.

The Norwalk Police and Fire Emerald Society is scheduled to host the annual parade Saturday beginning at noon.

In a Facebook post, police said the parade will start at Veteran's Park and travel westbound over the Stroffolino Bridge onto Washington Street.

The route will then proceed northbound on North Main Street and conclude at Pine Street, police said.

According to police, drivers should expect temporary road closures along the parade route at the following intersections:

  • Fort Point Street at Seaview Avenue
  • Washington Street at Water Street
  • Washington Street at North Main Street
  • North Main Street at Marshall Street
  • North Main Street at Ann Street
  • North Main Street at Martin Luther King Drive

Each closure is expected to last approximately 15 minutes as the parade passes through the area, according to police.

"We encourage residents to plan ahead, expect brief delays and enjoy the parade safely," police wrote on Facebook.
