Roads Closed In Norwalk Due To Downed Wires: PD

Police said Eversource has been notified.

NORWALK, CT — Police said Monday morning on Twitter that County Street is closed due to downed wires at #92, near Carothers Lane. Eversource has been notified of the issue, police said.

Police also posted a video of wires burning at 92 County Street and said the road remains closed as they await Eversource's arrival.

Police said earlier Monday that Murray Street is closed at Trailside Drive due to wires down. Travelers were asked to use Wolfpit Avenue or Overbrook Road as a detour. (To sign up for Norwalk breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The road remains closed near Trailside Drive as of 11:30 a.m. as crews work to repair the wires, police said.
