“Mom has suffered for 10 years with Alzheimer’s and it’s been heartbreaking to watch and very difficult for my family,” Ruden said. “I’m involved to honor her and to do everything I can to contribute to finding a cure so no other families have to go through what mine and so many others have to go through.”

Ruden is the owner/editor of The Ruden Report, a website which primarily covers high school sports in Fairfield County and spotlights athletes. This will be his 5th walk and first as Walk Chair. His brother Jeffrey Ruden served as Walk Chair in 2019 and is Honorary Chair this year.

“Fortunately, I have a platform where I can get the word out to get more people to walk with us and raise as much money as possible. The fact that I’m able to do this with my brother makes it extra special,” Dave Ruden adds.
