Samantha Bee Show Cancelation Results In Layoffs For Norwalk Workers
A number of employees working for the show "Full Frontal With Samantha Bee" in Norwalk are being laid off following the show's cancelation.

NORWALK, CT — A number of employees working for the show "Full Frontal With Samantha Bee" in Norwalk are being laid off following the show's cancelation earlier this summer.
In a letter sent to the state Department of Labor and Mayor Harry Rilling in late August, a spokesperson for the show said the layoffs will take place at a production office on Water Street and a stage on Leonard Street.
Some employees were laid off Aug. 22, however some will assist with wrapping up the show until Sept. 30, according to the spokesperson. Over 60 impacted employees were listed in the letter.

The spokesperson said the show was canceled in late July, and its seventh season was now completed. Employees were given as much notice as possible, which was less than 60 days because they "could not have anticipated the cancelation of season 7."
The talk show, starring comedian and former "The Daily Show" correspondent Samantha Bee, first aired on TBS in 2016. Its cancelation comes on the heels of the large-scale Warner Bros. Discovery merger that took place this spring.
