Seaport Association Dedicates Main Stage @ 42nd Oyster Festival

2019 Main Stage dedicated to Tim Currie on Sept. 6, 7, and 8

The Seaport Association organizers were saddened to learn about the passing of Tim Currie. “Tim Currie was so generous to the Seaport Association and to the Oyster Festival with his time, talent, and humor,” said, Mike Reilly President of the Seaport Association. “He performed in more than ten Oyster Festivals and supported other Seaport events. Tim is part of the Seaport Association’s family and we will miss this musical icon of Fairfield County.”

The Seaport Association looked for an appropriate way to honor the memory of Tim Currie at the 2019 Oyster Festival. The best way to honor the memory of our friend, Tim was to dedicate the Main Stage at the Oyster Festival to him.

Tim’s passing has been met with an outpouring of emotion from his family, friends and fans. He was one of a kind and will always be remembered for his support of the Seaport Association and the community; as well as for his passion for music.
