Second Arrest in Variety Store Robbery
Norwalk police served an arrest warrant on James Thompson, 25, of Wilton Avenue in Norwalk.

A second Norwalk man has been charged in the Nov. 25 robbery of the In and Out Variety store at 178 Main St.
James Thompson, 25, of 20 Wilton Ave., was arrested on a warrant by Norwalk detectives on charges of first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny. His bond was set at $500,000.
Police had earlier said that Hector Diaz, 18, of Norwalk, had confessed to committing the robbery after he was arrested in connection with the burglary of the U.S. Post Office on Washington Street. Diaz told police that after the robbery he went to Union Cemetery, where he ditched a mask and cap, both of which were later found by police, according to the Norwalk Hour.
