Shots Fired In 'Targeted Incident' In Norwalk: Police

Police said schools in the immediate area were alerted out of an abundance of caution as officers searched the area.

NORWALK, CT — Police are investigating reports of shots fired late Tuesday morning in Norwalk, and anyone with information is asked to contact the department.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino said the department received a call about shots fired in the area of Bouton Street around 11:30 a.m.

Out of an abundance of caution, nearby schools were alerted as officers searched the area and gathered information, Gulino said.

According to Gulino, police were able to identify the intended victim, who was not injured, however they were uncooperative.

A description of the suspect is not available at this time. Gulino said this is believed to be a targeted incident.
