Six Sent to Hospital After Crash with Two Trucks & Two Cars in Norwalk

The accident occurred early Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Flax Hill Road and Fairfield Avenue, according to reports.

A four-vehicle crash involving a dump truck at the corner of Flax Hill Road and Fairfield Avenue on Saturday sent six people to the hospital, according to reports.

Reports differed on whether or not their injures were life-threatening, with the WFSB-TV website, citing Norwalk Fire Department officials, saying they were all non-life-threatening. Fox Connecticut reported the opposite, indicating they all had life threatening injuries, which would be a very rare occurrence.

WFSB-TV reported that firefighters had to use the “jaws of life” hydraulic extraction tool to get one man out of a Chevrolet Malibu car.
