Softball Argument Leads To Gun Threat In Norwalk: Report

Police said a Stamford man is accused of threatening to shoot a player on an opposing softball team during a game in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT – Police said a Stamford man is accused of threatening to shoot a player on an opposing softball team during a Friday night game at Calf Pasture Beach, the Stamford Advocate reported. Police said shortstop Elvin Caban, 28, attempted to rush a batter after he allegedly told Caban "you stink."

According to the Stamford Advocate, police said the accused was held back by teammates but subsequently threatened to shoot the batter in the head and yelled racial epithets. Police said the accused fled the area but was arrested Saturday without incident on a warrant.
