Some Fairfield GE Employees Will Transfer to Norwalk: Report
Details are being ironed out about the company's Boston move.

There are still many questions remaining to be answered about GE’s exit from Connecticut, but it appears some employees may continue to work in the state.
GE announced yesterday that it will move from its Fairfield headquarters to Boston beginning later this year. GE will have roughly 800 people; 200 from corporate staff and 600 digital industrial product managers at its Boston location. About 800 people currently work at the Fairfield location.

An unspecified number of employees in Fairfield will be moved to GE’s Norwalk offices, according to the Norwalk Hour.

Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling said he is still waiting to hear more specifics about the move and the impact. The move will also affect Norwalk because some residents work at the Fairfield headquarters.
