Spider Man, Captain America at Maritime Aquarium on Sunday

The two Marvel Comics super heroes will be at the Maritime Aquarium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21.

The Maritime Aquarium recently issued this announcement about creatures of a not-necessarily maritime sort:

Oct. 26 will be a Super Sunday as Marvel Super Heroes® Spider-Man and Captain America stop by to greet guests at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk.

The officially licensed Marvel Super Heroes will be at the Aquarium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Fittingly, just before Halloween – the biggest costume day of the year – we have two of the biggest costumed crime-fighters coming to visit,” said Chris Loynd, the Aquarium’s marketing director. “We think it would be great if kids honor these superheroes by coming to the Aquarium wearing their Spider-Man and Captain America Halloween costumes.”

The appearances are more than a chance to get close to celebrity crime-fighters. Youngsters can pose for photos and get autographs too.

Also in attendance Oct. 26 will be Captain LivingSound, The Maritime Aquarium’s masked recruiter of stewards of Long Island Sound.
