Sprucing up the grounds at Notre Dame Health and Rehabilitation
St. Matthew Knights of Columbus assist the Sisters of St. Thomas of Villanova
NORWALK, Conn. – The continuing relationship between Knights of Columbus St. Matthew Council No. 14360 and Notre Dame Health and Rehabilitation Center was on display Saturday, July 21st when a group of Brother Knights helped with projects on the home’s grounds.
As in past years, grounds-keeping work was done, including adding fresh mulch to shrub areas on the outside grounds, power-washing. In addition, the Knights spread top soil and seed to the grounds since new walk ways were installed last month.
Fourteen members of the council converged on the Notre Dame grounds at 8am and were able to complete the work in three hours. Council member AJ Cossuto of AJ’s Landscaping donated his equipment to assist the council in completing this big project.

“A big thanks to Brother AJ for his generosity in donating his equipment and for delivering the top soil and mulch,” said Project Chair and Past Grand Knight George Ribellino. “This helped us finish the job in a timely manner.”
