Squirrels have been accused of chewing through several strands of light bulbs on the Norwalk Christmas tree outside of city hall.
Half of the tree lights were out and four light strands had to be replaced, according to the Norwalk Hour.
Each strand costs about $17 and it took more than three hours to replace them.

It’s not the first time the rodents have struck. They did the same thing last year in Matthews Park.
The tree lighting ceremony will take place Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. inside the concert hall at city hall.
