Stew Leonard’s Wines Now Offering Delivery Through Instacart

NORWALK, CT — The independently owned and operated locations of Stew Leonard’s Wines and Spirits in Norwalk, Danbury and Newington announced Monday a partnership with Instacart. Customers age 21 and older can visit www.instacart.com, select a store location, choose from more than 1,000 wines, beers and spirits and have them delivered directly to their doorstep, all in as little as one hour.

According to a press release, Stew Leonard’s Wines and Spirits is one of the first alcohol retailers in the state of Connecticut to forge a partnership with Instacart. (To sign up for Norwalk breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

“The partnership with Instacart is going to be a great convenience for the stores’ shoppers,” Brand Marketing Manager Blake Leonard said in a release. “Ever since my dad opened the first Stew Leonard’s Wines & Spirits location in Norwalk almost 20 years ago, the owners been looking for innovative ways to make shopping for wines and spirits easy. Shopping for your favorite Stew’s Hidden Gems and highly-rated wines on Instacart will make for a great extension of the in-store experience.”

Starting on the date of the launch, customers can visit instacart.com or download the Instacart app and enter their zip code to determine if they are within the Stew Leonard’s Wines and Spirits delivery area. Once signed in, shoppers can fill their virtual carts with their favorite wines, beers and spirits.

At check out, customers will be prompted to enter their birthday and then choose a delivery window within one hour, two hours or up to seven days in advance. Once the order is placed and accepted, items are hand-picked by Instacart’s shoppers and delivered (only customers age 21 and older will be permitted to accept delivery). Prices may vary from in-store pricing.
