Stew Leonard's Voluntarily Recalls Apple Crisp, Pie Products Sold In CT
The products were sold in Stew Leonard's bakery departments at stores in Norwalk, Danbury and Newington, as well as New York and New Jersey.

NORWALK, CT — Stew Leonard's announced Friday afternoon a voluntary recall of two items recently sold at stores in Connecticut, as well as New York and New Jersey, between Aug 28, 2023, and March 8, 2024.
In a statement, Stew Leonard's spokesperson Meghan Bell said the the recalled items are the store's apple crisp made with honeycrisp apples, both whole and half pies, as well as its no sugar apple pie.
According to Bell, these items are being voluntarily recalled because the apple crisp may contain undeclared milk and the apple pie may contain undeclared eggs.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk and eggs "run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products," according to Bell.
Stew Leonard's is working with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection to determine the cause of the labeling error. Consumers who have purchased these pies are urged to discard them or bring them back to a Stew Leonard's customer service desk for a full refund, Bell said.
