Stolen Firearm Found Hidden In Litter Box, 4 Arrested: Norwalk Police

Police said two women and two juveniles were arrested in connection with an early morning robbery reported in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — Two women and two juveniles were arrested Sunday in connection with an early morning robbery reported in Norwalk, according to the Norwalk Police Department.

In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said a robbery was reported around 3 a.m. in the area of Raymond and Day streets.

When officers arrived in the area, they spoke with a person who said he had been robbed of his firearm by two men who brandished firearms during the incident, Podgorski said.

According to Podgorski, an investigation revealed the person had been in his vehicle with two women he met through Facebook, identified as Princess Garcia, 20, of Waterbury, and Natalie Deflorio, 20, of Norwalk.

When Garcia exited the vehicle, two males carried out the robbery and Garcia and Deflorio fled from the area with them, according to Podgorski.

Officers later found Deflorio, Garcia and a male juvenile inside Deflorio's apartment on Woodward Avenue, Podgorski said.

During a search of the apartment, officers found the stolen firearm concealed inside a litter box, as well as a black BB gun, according to Podgorski.

Deflorio, Garcia and the juvenile were all arrested, Podgorski said.

Police later identified a second male juvenile accused of being involved in the robbery and arrested him that morning, according to Podgorski.

Deflorio was charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, stealing a firearm, conspiracy to stealing a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and risk of injury to a child.

Garcia was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and conspiracy to stealing a firearm.

Both their bonds were set at $75,000 and they are scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Podgorski.

A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old juvenile were each charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, stealing a firearm and conspiracy to stealing a firearm.

Both juveniles are scheduled to appear in court Monday, according to Podgorski.
