Teacher Arrested After Argument On School Grounds: Police
A Norwalk elementary school teacher was recently arrested following an argument on school grounds, according to police.

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk elementary school teacher was arrested Wednesday morning following an argument on school grounds, according to police.
In an email to Patch, Police Lt. Tom Podgorski said officers were called to an elementary school in Norwalk just before 11 a.m.
According to Podgorski, officers found a 34-year-old teacher at the school, involved in a verbal argument with school staff in the administrative area of the building.

The teacher was asked to leave the school for the day to avoid further issues but refused, Podgorski said.
As a result, the teacher was arrested on charges of second-degree breach of peace and first-degree criminal trespass, according to Podgorski. The teacher was released on a promise to appear in court next month.

A spokesperson for Norwalk Public Schools confirmed Tuesday that the accused is a teacher at a local elementary school but declined to comment further as the incident "is a personnel matter."
