TEDx speaker & Cancer Survivor to headline ICRF Heroes for Hope

Andrew Faas, a Leukemia Survivor, TEDx speaker, Author, Management Advisor and Yale Public Voices Fellow is this year’s Heroes for Hope keynote speaker on November 4th. ICRF (Israel Cancer Research Fund) supported the research that led to the development of Gleevac—the “miracle drug” that keeps Andy living an active life. Heroes for Hope raises funds and awareness for cancer research while recognizing CT honorees. ICRF 3rd Annual Heroes for Hopes salutes three outstanding local oncologists: Dr. Beverly Drucker (Greenwich Hospital),Dr. Paul Weinstein, (Bennett Cancer Center/Stamford Health) and Dr. Richard Zelkowitz (Norwalk Hospital). Heroes for Hope features a cocktail hour, raffle items, and dinner. Heroes for Hope will take place at Temple Beth El, Stamford, CT on Sunday, November 4th at 6pm. Last year, the event hosted over 150 guests and raised over $150,000 for cancer research.

In addition to Andrew Faas, an introduction and comments will be given by Dr. Mark Israel, International Executive Director of ICRF and Distinguished Chair in Medicine, Dartmouth Medical School Emeritus
