Truck Hit By Tree, Road Closed In Norwalk: Police

Norwalk police said a portion of the road is closed due to a tree, poles and wires down in the area.

NORWALK, CT — A portion of West Rocks Road is closed Friday afternoon due to a tree, poles and wires down, as well as a damaged truck, in the area, according to police.

Police said around 11:30 a.m. on Facebook the road is closed between Aiken Street and St. Mary's Lane after a truck was hit by a tree.

Police also noted the truck's driver was out of the vehicle. Photos of the tree and the damaged truck were posted to the department's Facebook page.

Drivers in the area are asked to seek out alternate routes until the road is cleared, according to police.
