Two Pedestrians Seriously Injured In DUI Crash: Norwalk PD
The driver wasn't licensed, police said.

NORWALK, CT — An unlicensed driver was arrested after he seriously injured two pedestrians during a drunken crash, according to police. Officers responded to the West Avenue crash near Orchard Street Nov. 22 around 1 a.m.
A vehicle had struck two pedestrians and a parked car, said Lt. Terrence Blake, police spokesman. Both victims were taken to the hospital.
Driver Walter Veliz was uninjured. He failed a field sobriety test and his BAC level was found to be .1852, more than double the legal limit, Blake said.

Veliz, 31, of Norwalk was charged with two counts of second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, DUI, reckless driving and operating without a license. Bond was set at $75,000.
