Understanding Eating Disorders: How to Recognize Them and How to Help
Dr. Erin Kleinfield of Silver Hill Hospital discusses anorexia nervosa, binge eating, and bulimia at NAMI Southwest CT event

Area parents, individuals, and professionals meeting at Greenwich Town Hall on November 12 will learn ways to avoid the heartbreaking consequences of anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating from Erin Kleifield, PhD, Director of the Eating Disorders Program at Silver Hill Hospital. The event will take place from 7:30-9:00pm on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Greenwich Town Hall, 101 Field Point Rd., Greenwich, Conn. A question and answer period will follow.
In her presentation, Understanding Eating Disorders, Dr. Kleifield explains ways in which early identification and intervention can change the quality of life, even save a life. An estimated 24 million individuals in the United States now struggle with eating disorders, complex conditions that have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness.
