Unique Store Closes Suddenly In Norwalk: Report

A popular shop that sold kinck knacks and food items suddenly closed after over 30 years in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — After over 30 years in South Norwalk, a popular knick knack and cheese store quietly closed its doors in October. Kaas & Co. - A Taste of Holland, located at 83 Washington Street, posted a final "Vaarwel" on its website a couple months ago.

The store closed its doors "for the final time" on Saturday, Oct. 13.

"We are looking forward to retirement and a bright future," the website reads. "Thank you for your patronage [and] loyalty!"

The store sold a number of items from Holland, such as toys, flags and more. Customers could also purchase cookies, candy, cheese and other food items.

The store is not the only place on Washington Street to close suddenly. In November, Cask Republic suddenly shut down its 99 Washington Street location after 12 years in SoNo. The restaurant and bar offered a large selection of menu items and a wide variety of beers on tap.
